For I was hungry and you gave me food ...

Collection third weekend of each month

Goal: Supplement the Food Pantry at Cayuga Seneca Community Action Agency (CSCAA) to assist those in need in our community.

On the third weekend of each month a collection is held in the back of the church. Parishioners leave non-perishable items for collection by CSCAA. Items desired are: canned foods, cereals, pastas, sauces, boxed foods such as macaroni and cheese and hamburger helper. Necessities and personal care items such as: toothpaste, new toothbrushes, diapers, dishwashing detergent, laundry detergent, fabric softener, hand soap, shampoo, toilet paper, paper tow-els are also acceptable. During the beginning of the school year school supplies are needed as follows: pencils, pens, crayons, colored pencils, non-toxic markers, notebooks, loose leaf paper, composition notebooks, multi-colored folders, tape and glue sticks.

Participation is encouraged by all parish members. Reminders are announced at each Mass and in the Church bulletin on the second Sunday of the month.
